Your Safety and Risk Management
YOUR SAFETY AND THAT OF FELLOW RIDERS IS PARAMOUNT. A CONDITION OF MEMBERSHIP IS THAT YOU ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Ripon Cycling Club (RCC) or the ride leader cannot be held responsible for your safety.
- All riders join the formal rides at their own risk and must assume full responsibility for their own safety in relation to other traffic and riders, whilst adhering to the Highway Code at all times.
- It is strongly recommended that you take out 3rd Party Liability Insurance with an appropriate cycling body such as British Cycling or Cycling UK. RCC has Club Affiliation to British Cycling.
- All riders should carry ID and emergency contact details, along with any relevant medication.
- Riders should be fit to ride in accordance with the published ride data. Any concerns should be expressed to the designated ride leader in advance of the ride.
- Riders should also carry at least one spare inner tube (preferably two), money, a snack and drinks for emergency situations
